This Cookie Policy explains what this website stores on your device, and why you will not see a cookie banner here. The short answer: the site sets no cookies at all, and stores exactly one small preference, only after you use the footer menu on a phone.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise the browser on a later visit. Websites can also keep information in the browser in other ways, for example with “local storage”, which works in a similar way but is never sent back to the server automatically. European and Norwegian rules on electronic communications treat all of these the same way: storing or reading information on your device generally requires your consent, unless it is strictly necessary to provide something you have asked for.
2. What this website stores
Cookies: none. This website does not set any cookies — not its own and not anyone else’s. You can check this yourself in your browser’s developer tools: the list of cookies for this site will be empty.

- Purpose: to keep the footer the way you left it when you move to another page
- How long it lasts: until you clear your browser’s site data; it has no expiry date of its own
- Who can read it: only this website, in your browser. It is never sent to our server or to anyone else.
The entry contains no personal data. It does not identify you, carries no unique identifier and cannot be used to recognise you or to follow you from one website to another.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner is needed when a website wants to store or read information on your device for purposes that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, social media plug-ins and the like. This website has none of these.
The single local storage entry described above is created only as a direct result of something you do — opening or closing a section of the footer — and serves only to remember that choice. It falls within the exemption for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a function the user has explicitly requested. We think that asking you to accept a banner in order to remember three menu positions would be more of an intrusion than the storage itself, so we have chosen not to show one.
If we ever add anything that does require consent — for example analytics — we will first update this policy, change the website’s security settings on purpose, and ask for your consent before anything is stored.
4. Third parties
Nothing on this website is loaded from another company: there are no embedded maps, videos, fonts, advertising tags or social media buttons. No third party can set cookies through this website.
Some pages contain ordinary links to other websites, such as Hjelpelinjen or the data protection authorities named in our Privacy Policy. If you follow such a link, the other website’s own cookie policy applies.
5. How to remove or block it
You stay in control of your browser at all times:
- To remove the entry, clear the site data for this website in your browser settings (often found under “Privacy”, “Cookies and site data” or “Storage”).
- To prevent it being stored at all, block site data for this website, or browse in a private window, where local storage is normally deleted when the window is closed.
The website works fully without local storage. If it is blocked, the footer will simply open with every section closed each time you load a page.
